MARGIN / TERMS

Terms of use.

About Margin

Margin is a Chrome browser extension operated by Rajiv Priyadarshi. It helps you save readable webpages, keep highlights and notes, review them, and export articles as EPUB or PDF files. This website introduces the product and includes an illustrative browser-local preview.

Install Margin from the Chrome Web Store and start a 14-day free trial. No payment card is needed for the trial. You can purchase an annual or monthly subscription through Dodo Payments.

Plans and pricing

The annual plan is US$39 every 12 months after a 14-day, no-card trial. The launch offer gives new subscribers US$15 off the first payment with code MARGINLAUNCH: US$24 for the first 12 months. Subsequent payments are US$39 every 12 months. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal. Applicable taxes and the final amount are shown at checkout. For annual billing, the displayed monthly amounts are equivalents: US$2/month is billed as US$24 upfront for the first year, and US$3.25/month is billed as US$39 annually thereafter. The struck-through US$3.25 is the standard annual plan’s monthly equivalent, not a claim about a previous selling price. Alternatively, monthly billing is US$4.99 charged each month, with no annual commitment or introductory discount. It renews automatically each month unless cancelled before renewal. Both billing options include the same features and five browser profile activations.

The trial begins when you first successfully use the full reader, reader mode, save, highlight or download a new article. Opening the compact preview alone never starts the trial, whether drafts are enabled or disabled. With drafts enabled (the default), opening an article in Full view keeps it as a draft. The trial is local to a browser profile; it is not an account-wide trial across devices.

Your software licence

A successful purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Margin’s included local browser features on up to five simultaneously activated browser profiles. You may deactivate a browser to release an activation. Do not resell or share your key for use by unrelated people, or redistribute Margin’s proprietary source or packaged extension without permission.

An active subscription unlocks the included local features for the paid period. It does not promise an indefinite schedule of new features, a future cloud service, or support for every website or external platform.

Checkout and delivery

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Dodo’s Buyer Terms also govern its checkout and payment services. After a successful purchase, Dodo automatically emails a licence key. Enter that key in Margin’s Settings → Plan & purchase screen to activate or restore your browser.

Licence activation requires an internet connection. Purchases are periodically verified online, with up to seven days of verified offline access for new reading actions. Keep your purchase email so you can restore access on a new profile.

Your retained reading

If a trial or paid period ends, or a new licence verification is needed, retained articles and highlights remain available for reading, review, deletion and data export. New captures, saves and highlights require an active trial or valid purchase. A confirmed inactive or revoked key no longer grants new-content access.

The active library is stored in your Chrome profile. Optional automatic backups save separate archives in a folder you choose on your computer. Confirm the latest successful backup before changing profiles, computers or the installation. Uninstalling removes the browser copy; backup files already written to disk remain. Restore into an empty library after reinstalling, then reconnect the folder. Recovery is limited to the last successful archive, and folder permission or disk errors can interrupt backups. Margin does not provide cloud recovery for reading that was not backed up.

Content and third-party services

Use Margin only for material you may lawfully access, save and use. The original authors and publishers retain their content rights. Margin does not grant permission to republish saved content, bypass access restrictions, or retrieve posts that have not loaded.

Extraction, images, mail attachments and Kindle delivery depend on external websites and services. Some pages need cleanup or expanded text. Amazon’s approved-sender requirements and the policies of your mail provider still apply. A prepared draft does not establish that a message was sent or delivered.

Refunds and privacy

Our 14-day refund policy applies after a purchase. The Privacy Policy explains local storage, optional tracking, licence checks and support information. Cancel renewal through the customer portal linked in your Dodo receipt, or contact support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deactivating a browser or uninstalling the extension does not cancel the subscription. Cancellation alone does not request a refund.

Availability and your rights

Margin is provided as available. We aim to keep supported features working, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, universal extraction or the behavior of third-party services. These terms do not exclude rights, remedies or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Material changes to the public offer will be shown before purchase. Questions about these terms or your licence can be sent to rajivpriyadarshi23@gmail.com.
